# Brijesh Agal > The open collection of Brijesh Agal. Engineering, teaching, people, experiments, and art. I love making complicated ideas click. Usually happy. Always up to something. ## Website - [Home](https://unabrijed.xyz) - [Work](https://unabrijed.xyz/work) - [Résumé](https://unabrijed.xyz/cv) ## Experience ### Monaris COO · Nov 2025 — present Building the private credit layer for the stablecoin economy. ### Chainrisk / AFI Protocol DevRel & Blockchain Risk Engineer · Feb 2025 — Jun 2026 Engineering, ecosystem partnerships, vault infrastructure, and risk systems. ### DZap Fullstack Blockchain Developer · Jan 2024 — Jan 2025 SDKs, wallets, and execution infrastructure across 44+ chains. ### Siemens Developer Intern · May — Jul 2023 Early Web3 integration and smart contracts for prediction-based transactions, with an estimated 15% cost reduction. ## Project stories ### AFI Protocol Developer Relations & Blockchain Risk Engineer · Chainrisk · Feb 2025 — Jun 2026 Two sides of the same work. At Chainrisk and AFI Protocol, my work crossed engineering and ecosystem development. I built infrastructure that developers and partners could use, then worked with the people who could help it reach further. A month-long blocker. A different way in. A core indexer could not retrieve the historical onchain data needed by the team’s simulations. I reverse-engineered the protocol from its contract structure, reconstructed the failing prices using a different initialization source, and rebuilt the core values per entry. The rebuilt indexer has run without reported bugs since. From integrations to adoption. I built and scaled the afi-rwaUSDi vault aggregator across Ethereum, Base, and Monad, integrating Aave, LiFi, Euler, Morpho, and Magpie. The work helped drive more than $1.1M in afiUSD volume. Alongside engineering, I sourced and closed $100M in Base and $50M in Monad ecosystem partnerships, with LP and investor introductions supporting a Proof-of-Reserve network beyond $225M. Understanding what can go wrong. My risk engineering work included Rust Monte Carlo systems for the Fuel ecosystem and lending models for Swaylend. That meant reasoning through liquidation thresholds, collateral parameters, and the behavior of a lending system under stress. ### DZap Fullstack Blockchain Developer · Jan 2024 — Jan 2025 Make complexity usable. I maintained SDKs spanning more than 44 chains and built wallet infrastructure for Solana and Ethereum. The job was to make different systems work together behind an interface that developers could actually rely on. Below the surface. I built liquidity-aggregation and multi-DEX execution backends, and diagnosed a long-standing BigNumber edge case in the TypeScript and JavaScript stack. It was the kind of small-looking bug that requires understanding the whole path a value takes. Part of a bigger result. My engineering contributed to a platform reporting $28.11M+ average volume and a top-five DEX position on Linea. Those are team and platform outcomes; my part was building and maintaining the infrastructure underneath them. ### Tone Transfer Designer & developer · Independent project A small, unreasonable question. Could two nearby devices exchange a file using the hardware they already have: a speaker and a microphone? Tone Transfer explores that question in the browser. Data you can hear. The application encodes data as frequency-shift keying (FSK) audio tones and transfers encrypted files between nearby devices. There is no pairing, account, QR code, or installation step. The browser’s Web Audio API handles the signal. Try the idea. The signal preview below turns a short message into two alternating frequencies. It illustrates the encoding idea; the complete application handles the encrypted device-to-device file transfer. As COO, I’m helping build the company and the ecosystem around it. It brings together the two threads that run through my work: useful financial infrastructure and the people who make it work. [Visit Monaris](https://monaris.co) · [Follow the build](https://x.com/monaris_fi) ### Cusp Builder · Colosseum hackathon Capital shouldn’t have to wait. Cusp explores a capital-markets layer for prediction markets on Solana: borrowing against live positions, earning yield on idle capital, and getting paid when a market resolves. Built for the Colosseum hackathon. [Explore Cusp](https://beta.cusp.fi) · [Follow Cusp](https://x.com/usecusp) ### Vectorize Designer & developer · Independent project A tool for a real workflow. Vectorize converts raster artwork into clean SVG and PDF vectors for use in CorelDRAW. It runs entirely in the browser, so images never leave your device. A small tool built around a specific, practical need. [Try Vectorize](https://vectorize.unabrijed.xyz) ### Lazy Strava Designer & developer · Independent project Made for the fun of it. Lazy Strava creates Strava-style activity cards for Instagram stories. Run, ride, swim, or hike: the stats are editable and the output is ready to share. A playful little experiment in making a familiar format your own. [Make a card](https://lazy-strava.unabrijed.xyz) ### AQI Calculator Designer & developer · Independent project Turning an abstract number into something personal. The calculator estimates annual PM2.5 contribution from smoking, using WHO-based data across more than 70 brands and eight categories. It is an exploratory environmental estimate, not a measurement of individual exposure or health risk. [Explore the calculator](https://contribution-to-aqi-calculator.unabrijed.xyz) ## Community - Devcon 7 (Bangkok, Thailand, 2024): Volunteer. Helping make room for an international Ethereum community, at a gathering of approximately 14,000 people. - ETH Latam (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2025): AFI Protocol representative. Taking AFI into conversations with RWA builders and investors, and finding the places our work could connect. - Stellar Singularity (Stellar ecosystem, Mentorship): Mentor & judge. Working alongside residency and hack-program builders, then judging their final submissions. - Better, together. (Base & Solana ecosystems, Community): Based Fellowship 2.0 · Superteam India. One device plays it; the other listens and turns the notes back into a file. That’s Tone Transfer. Tone Transfer encodes data as frequency-shift keying audio tones and transfers encrypted files between nearby devices through the browser. It uses the Web Audio API and Next.js. The little instrument here demonstrates the encoding: type a message and hear its bits. The full application at tonetransfer.tech handles encrypted file transfer without pairing, accounts, QR codes, or installs. I build software, love teaching, paint portraits, play chess, and tend to be the person who says “let’s do it” first. I love a good conversation. I also love being quiet. I’m almost always happy, and happiest when I can help someone get further than they thought they could. I’m the idea guy, but I like seeing the idea through. Sometimes that means building a system; sometimes it means bringing the right people together. I love teaching. Finding a simple way to explain something, then seeing it click for someone, gives me so much satisfaction. Simplicity is my moat. I paint portraits and canvases, have a soft spot for Harry Potter, and peaked at 1800 on Chess.com. There’s usually another side quest on the go. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=brijesh) ### Infrastructure meets introductions. engineering × people · AFI / 2025–26 I helped build the system that moves money, and brought in the people who could help it grow. Both jobs need you to understand what someone actually needs. At Chainrisk / AFI Protocol, I sourced and closed $100M in Base and $50M in Monad partnerships. Alongside LP and investor introductions, that helped scale a Proof-of-Reserve network beyond $225M. I also built the afi-rwaUSDi vault aggregator across Ethereum, Base, and Monad, integrating Aave, LiFi, Euler, Morpho, and Magpie and driving $1.1M+ in afiUSD volume. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=afi) ### Your move. a little detour · 1800 peak / chess.com I love chess. My peak on Chess.com is 1800. Here’s a little position to think about between the other things. White to move and mate in one. Select a piece, then its destination. There’s a hint if you want one, and you can reset the board whenever you like. This is an illustrative puzzle, rather than a position claimed from one of my games. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=your-move) ### Simplicity is my moat. Teaching · Always in progress I love teaching. Taking something that feels complicated and finding an explanation that makes it click—that’s deeply satisfying. My favourite moment? “Oh, now I get it.” Simplicity is my moat. I love helping someone understand an idea that felt out of reach. Finding an explanation that makes learning feel easy is a big part of what I enjoy about teaching. That instinct carries into mentoring builders, answering developer questions, and explaining the things I make. An everyday example or a small demonstration can give an unfamiliar idea somewhere to land. Try the Tone Transfer demo: type a message, see its bits, then hear them as two musical notes. Start with the “Simply” explanation; explore “Under the hood” whenever you’re curious about the details. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=keep-it-simple) ### Make a little something. open sketchbook · No brief. No wrong answers. Portraits, canvases, a blank page. I love making things that don’t need a deployment. Here’s a little space for you to make something too. Pick a colour and draw. Undo a stroke, start again, or save your drawing. It stays on your device. My own paintings will join the collection here as photographs. This sketchpad is for your experiments. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=leave-a-mark) ### Making room for the community. community field notes · Bangkok / 2024 I volunteered at Devcon 7 in Bangkok. Being part of the team helping a community get together is its own kind of building. Devcon 7 brought approximately 14,000 participants to Bangkok. I volunteered at the international Ethereum developer conference in 2024. I like being the person who gets something started, and supporting the people who keep it moving. Community work gives that instinct somewhere useful to go. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=devcon) ### A little creative cardio. just because · Independent build A tool for making your own Strava-style activity cards. You choose the activity and the stats; it makes a card ready to share. Lazy Strava generates editable run, ride, swim, and hike cards for Instagram stories. A playful experiment in making a familiar visual format your own. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=lazy-strava) ### Many chains. One usable interface. engineering · DZap / 2024–25 Different blockchains speak different languages. I helped build the tools that let developers work with 44+ of them through one interface. At DZap, I maintained multichain SDKs, built wallet infrastructure for Solana and Ethereum, and worked on liquidity aggregation and multi-DEX execution backends. I also resolved a long-standing BigNumber edge case. My work contributed to a platform reporting $28.11M+ average volume and a top-five DEX position on Linea; those are platform and team outcomes. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=dzap) ### From pixels to paths. browser tool · Independent build Enlarge a small image and its pixels get blurry. Vectorize turns those pixels into shapes that can stay sharp at different sizes. A fully client-side tool that converts raster artwork into SVG and PDF vectors for CorelDRAW. The image stays in the browser and never needs to leave your device. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=vectorize) ### The bug that took a different question. field notes · AFI / engineering The team needed old records, but the system could only find recent ones. I worked backwards through how the records were made and found another way to reconstruct them. A core indexer couldn’t retrieve onchain data older than two months, blocking the simulations built on top of it. The issue had held up the team for a month. I reverse-engineered the protocol from its onchain contract structure, reconstructed the failing prices from a different initialization source, and rebuilt the core values per entry. It has run without reported bugs since. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=the-indexer) ### Another hat: building a company. building · Monaris / since 2025 Monaris is building a way for private credit to work with stablecoins. As COO, I help with the company and the ecosystem around it. Building the private credit layer for the stablecoin economy. My role as COO brings together infrastructure, operations, and the relationships that help a company move forward. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=monaris) ### A little push. A lot of possibility. mentorship · Stellar Singularity I mentored builders in Stellar Singularity and judged the final submissions. I love helping someone see what else their idea could become. As a mentor and judge for the Stellar Singularity residency and hack program, I supported participating builders and evaluated their final submissions. I tend to take the initiative, encourage people to stretch, and offer whatever support I can. It’s one of the parts of community work I enjoy most. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=stellar) ### A soft spot for a little magic. off duty · A personal favourite I love Harry Potter. Some things belong here simply because they make me happy. A little curiosity tends to be rewarded. Try “lumos” in the collection search. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=lumos) ### What comes after a prediction? hackathon build · Solana / Colosseum If you’ve taken a position in a prediction market, your money is usually tied up until the result. Cusp explores ways to make that position useful while you wait. Cusp is a capital-markets layer for prediction markets on Solana, built for the Colosseum hackathon. It explores borrowing against live positions, earning yield on idle capital, and receiving payouts when markets resolve. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=cusp) ### Ask “what if?” a million ways. risk engineering · Fuel / Swaylend Before trusting a lending system, imagine lots of different things going wrong. Simulations help us understand where it might struggle and how to prepare. I built Rust-based Monte Carlo risk systems for the Fuel ecosystem and risk-aware lending models for Swaylend, working through liquidation thresholds, collateral parameters, and system behaviour under stress. The visual here is a conceptual illustration of branching scenarios, not measured simulation output. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=risk-systems) ### Good conversations travel. ecosystem connections · Buenos Aires / Nov 2025 I represented AFI Protocol at ETH Latam in Buenos Aires, meeting RWA builders and investors and exploring where we could work together. At ETH Latam in November 2025, I held strategic discussions with real-world-asset products and investors about ecosystem collaboration and partnership opportunities. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=buenos-aires) ### An invisible footprint, made visible. data experiment · Independent build A calculator exploring how smoking contributes to fine-particle emissions over a year. It puts an abstract environmental number into a more personal context. An exploratory PM2.5 emissions estimate across more than 70 brands and eight categories. This is an environmental estimate, not a measurement of individual exposure or health risk. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=air) ### Find your people. Then show up. community · Base / Solana I’m a Based Fellowship 2.0 alum and a Superteam India member. I like being around people who make things happen. Selected builder and alum of Based Fellowship 2.0 by Inner Circle, and an active member of the Solana builders community through Superteam India. I also contribute to Ethereum Stack Exchange, sharing practical learnings and helping answer developer questions. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=communities) ### Following another “what if”. ongoing exploration · QVAC / Qwen / Whisper I’m experimenting with language models and voice agents that run locally. Another way to explore how we can make computers easier to talk to. Local LLM and voice-agent experiments using QVAC, Qwen, and Whisper. This is an exploration in progress, rather than a finished product or a claimed benchmark result. [Open this entry](https://unabrijed.xyz/?item=voice-notes)
